Terms and conditions

Who sells what

Hoome is a Chrome extension published by Pierre Pocheron, sole trader operating under the business name Pedro Dev, SIRET 988 557 070 00014. Full details are in the legal notice.

The free version is installed from the Chrome Web Store, with no account and no payment. These terms cover the Premium subscription only.

Premium is not sold by Pedro Dev, but by Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, issues the invoice, collects the tax due in your country and processes refunds. Your purchases are therefore also governed by Paddle’s buyer terms.

The plans

Three plans, whose current prices, all taxes included, are shown on the pricing page:

  • Monthly, no commitment, renewed each month until cancelled.
  • Yearly, preceded by a fourteen day trial. A card is required when you subscribe, nothing is charged before the fifteenth day, and cancelling before then costs you nothing.
  • Lifetime, a single payment, with no renewal and no later charge.

A trial is offered once. An account Paddle already knows, through a past subscription or payment, subscribes to the yearly plan at the same price, without a new trial.

Ordering and payment

You subscribe from the “My account” page of the website, after signing in with Google. Payment details are entered in a window provided by Paddle: neither the website nor the extension ever sees your card number.

The contract is formed when Paddle confirms the payment. You then receive a confirmation email, and your invoice stays available from the “My account” page.

What Premium unlocks

Premium adds features to the free version; it removes none. The current list is on the pricing page. It may grow without changing the price of your running subscription.

Term, renewal and cancellation

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You cancel in two clicks from the “My account” page, at any time and without giving a reason.

Cancelling cuts nothing off straight away: Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the extension returns to the free version, and nothing is deleted: your folders, shortcuts, notes, backups and chosen background stay exactly as they are. The free limits apply to creating new items only.

Withdrawal and refunds

For digital content supplied immediately, the law provides a fourteen day right of withdrawal. We apply a more generous policy: thirty days, no reason needed, set out on the refund page.

Your data

Everything you file in Hoome stays in your browser, and in your browser’s account if you sync it. The account server knows your email address and the state of your subscription, nothing more, unless you, as a Premium subscriber, let your account’s sync keep a copy of your desks. Details are in the privacy policy.

Availability and liability

The extension works offline and depends on the server only for the Premium account. We take reasonable steps to keep that service available, without being able to guarantee uninterrupted access, in particular during maintenance or a supplier outage.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid over the last twelve months. This limit does not apply in cases of gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.

Changes to these terms

The terms that apply are those in force on the date of your order. Any later change is announced to you before it takes effect on a running subscription.

Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by French law.
